Zhicheng Cellulose Co., Ltd. began to develop and produce methyl cellulose and hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose in the late 1970s. It is one of the earliest companies in my country to produce non-ionic cellulose ethers. Its products won the 1978 Science Conference Achievement Award. In 2012, it was the first company to build a non-ionic cellulose ether production line with an annual output of 20,000 tons using six 26m³ large European-style reactors. The production process has been fully controlled by DCS. At the same time, based on chemical reaction kinetics and gas-solid phase reaction characteristics, the company's scientific researchers completed a mature scientific process formula and process route after more than three years of exploratory experiments, achieving product uniformity comparable to liquid phase products, breaking through the shortcomings of gas-solid phase product uniformity, and winning seven national utility model patents and one invention patent. The company covers an area of ​​200,000 square meters and has more than 200 employees, including more than 40 intermediate and senior technical personnel. The company cooperates with domestic and foreign R&D institutions to continuously extend product development and equipment updates. Strong economic strength and abundant human resources have laid a solid foundation for the company's long-term development. In 2018, it invested 200 million yuan to build Shanxi Zhicheng Cellulose Co., Ltd., which covers an area of ​​150 acres and has an annual production scale of 30,000 tons. It has established a school-enterprise partnership with the School of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences of Wuhan University and Sichuan University to continuously carry out product extension development and equipment updates, and will be put into production in August 2020. The company relies on advanced production technology and equipment, a fully functional R&D center and scientific management of the IS509000 quality system.
