SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd.

SAIC-GM-Wuling, officially established on November 18, 2002, is a large-scale Sino-foreign joint venture automobile company jointly established by Shanghai Automotive Group Co., Ltd. (50.1%), General Motors (China) Investment Co., Ltd. (44%), and Guangxi Automobile Group (5.9%). Its predecessor can be traced back to the Liuzhou Automobile Power Machinery Factory established in 1958. The company currently has four major manufacturing bases: Liuzhou Hexi Headquarters, Liuzhou Baojun Base, Qingdao Branch and Chongqing Branch, forming a new development pattern of north-south linkage and east-west coordination. In 2009, the millionth vehicle rolled off the production line. In 2017, the overseas Indonesian subsidiary was officially completed and put into production. In 2019, the company's sales exceeded 20 million vehicles. In 2022, the company's 25 millionth vehicle officially rolled off the production line, becoming China's first single national brand car company with a cumulative production and sales volume of 25 million vehicles.
