Shaanxi Yulin Magnesium Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Yu Magnesium Group) is a mixed-ownership enterprise established by Yuneng Group in accordance with the relevant spirit of the Yulin Municipal Party Committee and Government on building a magnesium metal export base, and was established by Yulin Coal Import and Export Company on October 30, 2020 in Fugu County, the world's main magnesium ingot production area, with a registered capital of 500 million yuan. The group currently has 20 magnesium metal production companies, with a total magnesium metal production capacity of 500,000 tons/year, accounting for approximately 50% of the world's total magnesium metal production capacity; the total blue carbon production capacity has reached 29 million tons/year, and the total ferrosilicon production capacity has reached 1 million tons/year. It has unique resource advantages, production capacity advantages, cost advantages, transportation advantages, state-owned enterprise advantages, and operational advantages. Yu Magnesium Group has a total of 23 participating companies, including 3 state-owned enterprises, including Yuneng Coal Import and Export Company, Fugu County State-owned Assets Operation Company, and Shaanxi Nonferrous Metals Trading Center. There are 20 major magnesium metal production companies in Yulin City, including 18 in Fugu and 2 in Shenmu.
