China Scientific Equipment Import and Export Corporation (hereinafter referred to as China Scientific Equipment Corporation) was formerly known as China Scientific Equipment Corporation and was established in June 1962. In December 1988, with the approval of the former Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, it was renamed China Scientific Equipment Import and Export Corporation. In 1998, with the approval of the State Council, China Scientific Instruments was decoupled from the State Science and Technology Commission and placed under the management of the Central Enterprise Working Committee. With the approval of the State Council, it was formally merged and reorganized with China National Biological Products Corporation in 2003, becoming a wholly-owned enterprise of China National Biotechnology Corporation. Since its establishment, China National Science and Technology Corporation has been serving the country's science and technology undertakings and science and technology workers. The "863 Plan", "Key Research Plan" and other national key science and technology programs have introduced advanced technology and key equipment, and have done a lot of pioneering work for domestic new science and technology products to enter the international market and for domestic and foreign science and technology exchanges. After more than 40 years of development, China Scientific Instruments has become a technology-based and comprehensive foreign trade enterprise with multiple business qualifications such as international bidding, government procurement bidding, foreign aid material project implementation, foreign affairs approval rights, domestic and overseas science and technology exhibitions, and medical equipment and radioactive materials business licenses. In 2005, China Scientific Instruments passed the ISO9001 quality system certification of CQC. China Scientific Instruments is a member enterprise of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the China Chamber of International Commerce, as well as the six major national professional import and export chambers of commerce in the fields of mechanical and electrical, medical insurance, minerals and chemicals, light industry, textiles, grain, oil and native livestock, as well as the Analysis and Testing Association and the Warehousing and Logistics Association. It is also the chairman unit of the China Federation of Scientific Equipment Production and Marketing. China Scientific Instruments has always insisted on being a leading provider of scientific research institutes, universities and colleges across the country.
